This course (training) is designed to meet the ongoing health and safety training requirement for all child care providers (licensed and license exempt). This training is currently offered online only. We hope to offer a face to face version later in 2021. Providers must complete either the online training OR a face to face training. Providers will only receive training hours for either the online OR the face to face training, not both. The courses(trainings) are the same. This course is the online version.This training is the second in a series of three refresher trainings and covers the following four health and safety topics:• Prevention of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) and use of safe sleep practices• Child Development• Recognition and reporting of child abuse and neglect• Prevention of shaken baby syndrome, abusive head trauma, and child maltreatmentThis training is designed for both licensed and license exempt providers. There will be times in the training that licensing rules for center and family based licensed child care providers are cited. These are requirements for licensed providers.
