Early Childhood is my passion! I studied at Central Michigan University, where I obtained my bachelor's degree in Family Studies, with a double minor in Child Development and Substance Abuse Treatment and Prevention. My journey in ECE began by teaching preschool, followed by teaching in a GSRP classroom and from there I moved to a Center Director at the Grand Rapids YMCA, and finally a Program Manager supervising multiple sites for Head Start. During my first year as a Program Manager, I decided to go back to school and later received my master's degree in early childhood education. Currently I am a Quality Improvement Consultant with the Great Start to Quality Western Resource Center where I support licensed providers and programs in improving quality. I also provide training, teach CDA courses and serve as a Professional Development Specialist through the Council for Professional Recognition.
